After being bored and looking for stuff on the ‘net (no not pr0n) I stumbled on this site by Alan Turnbull. Wow. What a site. Everything you ever wanted to know about .gov buildings in England. However, typically though there seems to be little known about Scottish sites. Maybe the real secret stuff are based in Scotland. Poor Alan had to endure some mad media frenzy. Glad to see that he saw it through and came out on top. Its not always that the ‘little man’ wins, but as his site quite rightly demonstrates, there are a LOT of info in public domain. Its up to you to be bored one day and dig them up.

Well well well.. Paging through a local news paper I came across this article. It describes UFO activities in Scotland. Not only in Scotland but a place not even 7 MILES from my house!!!
For many years, it has been clear something strange has been going on in this small community a few miles from Falkirk. But now, one of the country’s leading authorities on UFOs has named it as the UK’s number-one hotspot for the phenomena.
Time to do some serious ET spotting
Also see BUFORA for UK related stuff

The first iteration of a dynamic news page is now live. This basically works on a combination of the runphp plugin and shaynesweeney’s page on adding RSS feeds into your pages. The idea was to get some headlines into a page to provide some dynamicness to the site. You can view the page here. A further step will be making these pages static after each week so that posts will stay with the comments. This will be mostly for the other site, greyghost where I hope to be delivering relevant news on that site.
Gladly, this part now works and I can chill for a while and enjoy the weekend

Following the ease of Wordpress, I managed to roll out several other sites for friends who required some sites. After a bit of hacking and modification, I managed to get their sites up very quickly. Some seem to be quite popular, like fridaysweep whereby people in a call center in Bellshill guess what a colleague has for his dinner. Although the site is in the early stages and will morph to something else eventually.
Clan Girfuy is another sited converted in a few hours. An added feature was to add a gallery, which incorporated Gallery 1.4.4. It also uses the GetWeather plugin and the RumWall for the visitors book.
Greyghost.co.uk was quickly done too, also with the Gallery hack. I know the page designs are not too flashy, but the overall idea was to have something neat, pages that can be downloaded very quickly and have some feedback.
