Project 4Fifteen

Well, I have reorganised and upgraded my gallery software. While going through it all, I noticed that I had some good photos. I selected the ones I had and made this new section in my gallery. You can see them at the gallery link. Feel free to score which ones you like more!

Well well..
After our trip to Budapest, the wedding finally arrived. Toby and Kirsty planned their wedding near Oban and of course, being March and Scotland, the weather looked really bad. Snow and what else pounded the country for a few days. It did not look like the weather was going to clear. The morning of the wedding broke. It was a fabulous day. Bright, sunny and no wind. The scenery was just perfect. Needless to say, we all had a fantastic time and boy, oh boy, did we have hangovers the next morning. It was a weekend well turned out.

Having owned several domains for several years, one of them has attracted the wrath of the botnets.. The bot army is spoofing the domain making it very difficult for the domain to be used. Needless to say something had to be done. I tried redirecting the mail to no avail, installed spam filters and black lists, it stopped a lot, but I noticed some real victims. Not nice. Then I contacted the folks at ZoneEdit and they had some real good advice. I followed it and voila, instant trickle. I can whole heartedly recommend them for all your domain needs. Managing the mail will be a minor issue now, but the main thing is my domain mail is now useable again. *yay* . Needless to say, bots are bad things. The mail will be monitored over the next few weeks to check if all is well. *sigh-of-relief*

Apologies for not adding stuff, but being rushed off my feet to the four corners of the world, i finally decided to pamper myself. I am currently on a trip to Amman in Jordan and as luck would have it, I had _one_ free day. I decided to spend this at the Dead Sea. It was fantastic. It was extremely hot (over 45C) and there was this haze over the Dead Sea. Locals inform me this is the water that is evaporating from the sea. This haze is also an excellent UVB blocker which aids tanning without burning. Marvelous for someone like me who has bits of lily white skin where the sun never shines..

Getting mud rubbed all over you was a strange almost erotic feeling. It was spooky. As I got in, quickly felt the blackish/greenish mud under my feet. As you go a bit deeper it get quite difficult to walk as the water is pushing you up. At this stage it is better to just lie down and float. It was eerie to just bob on the top.
There is no concept of swimming as you have to keep your eyes and mouth out of the water.
It is extremely unpleasant getting this in those places. Really, it is. Talking of places, I discovered bits of my body where I had slight scratches or cuts. These stung like blazes! After about 20 minutes in the water you start to itch. Really itch. The mud is also having some tingling/burning feeling as it dries. When you get out, you have a nice shower in fresh water. You feel a million times better. It was great. However the salt takes a while to come off your skin. So another shower at the hotel is a must. Well worth recommending.

*phew* what a hectic few days. I tallied up my hours of sleep and during 72 hours, I only managed a mere 9.5 hours. This was largely due to a fantastic time with some new friends. 3 solid days of ‘business’. I was with the contingent from Iraq. Basically there are loads of pictures, but I would need to get some authorisation before I post them. I took loads of piccies with new phone. Some came out quite nice.
I will post some more stuff about JT, Eddie, Paul, Al, Mark and Nigel. Apart from giving the poor PSD (American for VIP bodyguard) a very hard time, we had a marvelous time.

My harddisk also failed on this machine. A new one will be installed tomorrow. In the meantime before I upload more stuff and add the missing days, this will have to do.
